It is a great pleasure to be able to introduce you musically to Princess PingYang and tell you about her... about the real events that occurred in the history of China in the seventh century under the Sui and Tang dynasties.

She was the daughter of Li Yuan, later enthroned as Emperor Gaozu in the city of Chang´an, the ancient Chinese capital.

PingYang was a warrior Princess, rose as the only general of her dynasty and commanded more than 70,000 men, known as the "Army of the Lady" who fought under her command to recover the capital and save her people who were subjugated under the power of Emperor Yang of Sui.

He died in the year 623, his father, the Emperor, sent for him a beautiful military funeral in the presence of the largest musical orchestra that China had at the time... She was the decisive piece to found the Tang dynasty and Peace in the region...

She was not an ordinary woman, she had the courage and honour of a great leader, the respect and affection for her fellow men... and the true spirit of the Dragon.

This is undoubtedly one of the best compositions and musical productions I have ever made, I have divided it into two movements...

The first of them refers to PingYang's part as a warrior, the second movement puts an end to his humanity, his sensitivity and his precious treatment with the Chinese people.

I dedicate this topic to you in your memory, not for being just a wonderful oriental woman, but a brave Princess for and for the history of our humanity.
